Talking to Those You Love
Having the love and support of your spouse and family can make a big difference in your education.
In the fall of 2005, over 6.5 million adult students were studying at colleges and universities across the country. Earning your degree will require a lot from you and those you love most.
It will change your daily routines (and the family budget). This transition can be difficult, but in the long run, everyone will benefit from the education you will receive.
When you have made the decision to go back to school, meet with your loved ones and talk about your goals, as well as what kind of changes to expect. Set aside some time to start this important conversation.
If you haven't already, spend some time looking at what degree subjects might interest you.

Chuck's family is very supportive of his determination and efforts to earn his degree. Though he's living in Alaska working in the Air Force, he's still able to study at a college based in Ohio.
"I plan to walk with my class next year. I worked just as hard as anybody."
Read about the experience of this 30 year-old who is dedicated to getting his education.
