Selling Your Online Degree to an Interviewer
Concerned how future employers will view your online degree program? Of course.
Most colleges and universities do not distinguish between "online" and "on-campus" when they reward degrees earned by their students. It is likely, however, that your conversation may center on your academic history. You have two choices: discuss it matter-of-factly or avoid talking about it.
Anticipate that your interviewer will not be familiar with distance learning and online education.
The more prepared and rehearsed you are, the better. Your work as an online student has numerous benefits to any organization.

Chris took advantage of every opportunity to help him progress through his degree programs, including taking College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests. Being underway didn't create a barrier for him, as he has been a distance learning student for many years.
"Working on a long-term degree is similar to working through any given process in the Navy. The goal is clear and you find the resources to achieve the goal."
