Managing a Job and Online Courses
I have a lot on my plate right now and am feel intimidated about working full-time and going to school. Do you have any advice for adult students who work?
You are not alone! Many working adults are initially hesitant to take classes because it may be overwhelming. A good first step is writing what you do each and every day. Take note of any activity that wastes your time.
Some online students change their commuting schedule to and from work to avoid rush hour traffic. Other students cut down their television consumptionsome even cancel their cable to save money and time! What about shopping? Can you make fewer trips to the grocery store and pharmacy each week?

Online Student Interview: Molly
"If I hadn't switched to online, it would have been much more stressful on my family, job and myself"
Molly had started her graduate work taking classes on-campus, but she found it very time consuming. It was at least an hour drive to the campus and parking was limited. She would sometimes circle the parking area over and over, searching for a spot. She decided to take classes online, and has enjoyed the experience and convenience.
"It is very hard juggling everything sometimes and it is tempting to give up, but with the support of family and friends helping me I have been able to succeed."
