Making Space for Online Education

I'm thinking of cleaning up my spare bedroom to make a home office for myself. Where do I start?

Establishing a place to study is a good idea. If you are taking more than one class at a time, it will be especially important to maintain organization and minimize clutter. Even if your only study space is the couch or kitchen table, you can make the most of it!

As you look around your house or apartment, consider your needs. If you work better in silence, pick an area away from hallways or television sets. If you prefer to hear background noise, add a radio or study in a high traffic area. Read more of tips about creating an effective study space in our article How To Set Up a Home Office for Online Learning.

"My work and personal life generally come before my school…without a job a master's degree is not worth much and without family and friends, your life isn't worth much."
