This week's highlight from the Online Education Blogs:
-
eLearners blog writer Cajun is off to graduation!
Cajun has been studying online with Ashford University to earn his MBA with a concentration in Organizational Leadership.
He just received his cap and gown and he's hitting the road, driving from Texas to Iowa for commencement.
When getting your degree online, it's important to feel and know that your degree is every bit as meaningful as a student's from a brick & mortar institution. Read about Cajun's plans for his third diploma to preview the pride you'll feel when you graduate!
A new question from our Distance Learning Discussion Forums:
- We know you're at least a little curious about taking online classes, but JessicaElizabeth wants to know about teaching them. How do you start? Does it pay well? Do you need prior teaching experience?

Online Student Profile: Christian
Christian's job at a company involved in higher education first introduced him to online learning.
Christian was working full time as an information systems manager for a higher education company while going after his bachelor's degree. But he was taking early morning classes before work and late night classes after work. He was burning out...
He turned to online learning with the hopes of easing his schedule, but his college only allowed degree-seeking student to put a certain number of online credits toward a degree.
He finished up his undergraduate degree at William Paterson and quickly enrolled at Walden University to earn his MBA, or master's in business administration, which he nailed down quickly in 2007.
Read about Christian's experience as an online student and see what he's got planned next!
