This Week in eLearners Community News
This week's highlight from the Online Education Blogs:
- Ter reminds you that January 1, 2009 is the first day you can complete the FAFSA for the 2009-2010 school year. FAFSA is used to get government loans and grants to help pay for college and is a great place to start your search for college money. Ter strongly recommends that you apply online. Read to find out why...
A new question from our Distance Learning Discussion Forums:
- sarie15 got a bachelor's degree in computer science in Africa, but is worried now that its integrity might be questioned as an American citizen and resident.
Get a second bachelor's degree in computer science from an American school? Or go straight to a master's?

Online Student Profile: Roz
Roz wants you to know she's a "Mom first," but a successful eLearner second!
When Roz is at home, she's a wife and mother of five. But, shhhh... when there's a lull at work, Roz is earning her bachelor's degree in psychology on the sly from
Liberty University.
To balance home, work, and school, Roz bought a PDA to keep track of her class assignments and get super organized. Roz also makes a point to keep home and school separate only completing assignments during down time at work because with five kids, there's just no time at home!
Roz says she doesn't dwell on how busy she is (because she doesn't have time to!) but knows this will all pay off when she gets that degree and is qualified for her dream job as a school psychologist.
Click here to read how Roz uses each spare moment to get ahead. And for more student spotlights, check out our Guide to Online Education.
