Criminal justice is an increasingly important field of study for individuals in professions such as public safety, law enforcement, and private security.

Television does not always do these fields justice, as many of the portrayals of police officers, detectives and investigators is highly dramatized and inaccurate. For individuals looking to enter the field, formal training and education lends a clearer picture of what criminal justice is all about.

Criminal justice is offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels. As always, the degree programs listed on eLearners.com are fully accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Degree subjects in criminal justice and related fields are listed below.

Allow yourself the freedom of saying no, especially to activities that may demand an hour or more of your time.

It's hard enough holding down a job, managing your studies; if you have a family, there's even more to handle. Avoid placing obligations on your schedule; the juggling act may contribute to feelings of stress, worry, and exhaustion.
