Conducting Research Online
How can I tell which Web resources are reputable and which do not list accurate information?
As with any source, it is important to know the accuracy of the information you are accessing. As you will find with any publication, the information on the Web can be biased, missing details, or simply incorrect.
Certain Web sites are better to use than others, in regards to providing correct information for your research. For example, some Weblogs are written and maintained by field experts who publish up-to-date information that may be very useful and interesting for your research. Other Weblogs are written by individuals who have a superficial understanding of a particular subject and publish dubious information. Read more in our article How to Conduct Research Online.

Online Student Interview: Miralina
"During my undergraduate degree I worked independently much of the time, so I felt prepared to take an online program."
Miralina was a traditional student in her bachelor's program, but knew that she needed additional education and formal training before starting her career. Though online education typically appeals to more adult students, younger adults are also taking advantage of its benefits.
"I decided to take the courses online because it was much more convenient Also, going to class online meant I was free to find a job during the day."
Read about the experience of this 22-year-old online grad student.
