Comparing Schools
What is the difference between private and public schools? And what about for-profit and nonprofit? Is there a difference in quality?
Before you start researching schools, there are some key terms to know. For example, the main difference between a private institution and a public institution is funding. To help offset the cost of operation, public colleges and universities receive state funding. Private colleges and universities do not receive state funds, and rely instead on other sources, such as endowments and tuition fees.
Nonprofit schools are organizations that have legally established themselves as providing education without turning a profit. For-profit schools are organizations where they are able to turn a profit.
Though it may not have any bearing on the quality of education, it is important to be aware of the different types of institutions. Knowing how a school manages its operations may give you a clue as to how you may be treated once you enroll. Read more about the types of online education providers.
As you narrow your choices make your decision about what subject to study, be sure you have dedicated enough time to learning about your prospective schools.

Angel is a hard working mother of three children. She wanted to set an example for her family without having to time away from them. She earned her degree online to advance in her career and obtain an education that she valued. She set strict goals in order to stay on course.
